Samsung has officially pushed the fourth preview build of One UI 9.0 Beta to registered developer and public tester devices across India, the US, Germany, and South Korea. Built on top of Google’s latest Android 17 operating system, One UI 9.0 brings significant architectural changes, deeper Galaxy AI ecosystem integrations, and refined gesture navigation options for eligible Galaxy smartphones. One UI 9.0 expands Samsung’s proprietary artificial intelligence suite across system applications:
- AI Call Screening with Live Audio Transcripts: Using on-device Bixby processing, the phone can autonomously answer calls from unknown numbers, transcribe caller intent in real time, and allow users to respond via text-to-speech without opening the line.
- Audio Eraser in Voice Recorder & Video Editor: Neural networks automatically isolate background traffic, wind, or ambient room noise, allowing creators to isolate clean vocal tracks in recorded videos.
- Continuous Photo Assist: Non-destructive layered image editing that accepts conversational natural language prompts—such as “Remove shadow and enhance sky warmth”—without overwriting original photo raw data.
Visual Refinements: Liquid Glass Quick Panel
The user interface receives aesthetic and functional polish through the new Liquid Glass Quick Panel. Users can now freely resize and reorder quick setting toggles, adjust frosted blur opacity levels, and align system search bars to the bottom of native apps like Samsung Notes and Gallery for superior one-handed usability on large screens.
Storage Share & Cross-Device Connectivity
One UI 9.0 introduces Storage Share inside the native My Files application. This feature allows Galaxy smartphones to browse, open, and stream files stored on connected Galaxy Tablets or Galaxy Book laptops over local Wi-Fi Direct without requiring manual cloud uploads or cable transfers. Additionally, Auracast audio broadcasting now supports multi-headphone sharing for LE Audio-compatible Galaxy Buds.
Eligible Devices & Expected Stable Release Window
The One UI 9.0 Beta program is currently active for the Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy S25 series, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 / Z Flip 8. The stable public rollout is expected to begin in Q4 2026, extending to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy A56, and Galaxy A36 series.
